LBG Names Three Vice Presidents

SHELTON, CT -- Leggette, Brashears & Graham, Inc. (LBG), a professional groundwater and environmental engineering services firm, has named Michael Manolakas, John Benvegna and James Beach vice presidents of the firm.
               
Based in LBG’s Shelton, Connecticut office, Mr. Manolakas’ 15 years of experience includes completion of numerous Phase I through Phase III environmental site assessments as well as treatability studies, design of remedial systems, remedial cost estimating, remediation of soils and groundwater, groundwater flow and solute transport modeling, database management and GIS modeling. He has managed sites undergoing investigations and remediation as part of the RCRA Corrective Action, CTDEP Property Transfer Act Program, CTDEP Consent Order, CTDEP Voluntary Remediation Program and NYSDEC Voluntary Cleanup Program.

Mr. Manolakas is a Licensed Environmental Professional in Connecticut. He holds a B.S. degree in geological sciences from The Ohio State University and is a member of the Association of Groundwater Scientists and Engineers (National Ground Water Association) and Environmental Professionals of Connecticut.     

Based in LBG’s White Plains, New York office, Mr.
Benvegna has over 23 years of experience in the environmental consulting field. He learned from the ground up at LBG, starting as an intern in 1985, and he has a variety of contamination and water supply project experience. Over the course of his career he has been involved in all aspects of these projects from basic field work, data evaluation and reporting, to overall project/client management including budgeting, client representation and regu­latory negotiation.

A Certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists, Mr. Benvegna received a B.S. degree in marine geology from Southampton Col­lege, Long Island University. He is member of the American Institute of Professional Geolo­gists, and the Association of Ground-Water Scien­tists and Engineers (National Ground Water Associa­tion).

Mr. Beach is located in the Austin office of LBG-Guyton Associates. He is a Professional Geoscientist with 20 years of experience in groundwater and surface-water hydrology, water resource planning and development, environmental assessments, numerical flow and solute transport modeling, quantitative contamination evaluations, and litigation support. He specializes in application of numerical models to evaluate water resources as well as contaminant flow and contaminant transport in the subsurface, and has experience in field hydrology and hydrogeology, and application of quantitative hydrology in the water resources arena. 
Mr. Beach earned an M.S. degree in hydrology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a B.S. in hydrology from Tarleton State University.  He is a member of the American Geophysical Union and the Association of Ground-Water Scientists and Engineers (National Ground Water Association).
