 CEMENT PLANT AND QUARRY
STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MISSOURI

LBG supported our client to study, design and permit what will be North America’s largest cement plant including a 2000-acre limestone quarry. The cement plant for this $600 million project, which is expected to begin construction in 2005, will be located on approximately 90 acres of a 3,900 acre site on the west bank of the Mississippi River, 45 miles south of St. Louis in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. It will consist of cement production facilities designed to produce 4 million tons per year of portland cement, supported by a limestone quarry with over 100 years of reserves. Transportation facilities include a harbor for barge loading and unloading, rail, and highway access.
