LBG is the first and most senior firm to offer consulting services in the field of hydrogeology, now for over 60 years. In 1951, LBG conducted the very first remediation project in which we designed and operated an LNAPL recovery system. As proof of our cost reduction efforts, teamwork, quality environmental engineering, and innovation, LBG received the Consulting Engineers Council of MN 2003 Grand Award for Engineering Excellence for an aerobic in-situ bioremediation system designed to treat a large dissolved-phase hydrocarbon plume, the CECo of MN 2000 Grand Award for Engineering Excellence for the project entitled “Vacuum-Lift Limits Shattered- Innovative Remediation Design Facilitates Brownfield Redevelopment”, the 1999 Excellence in Engineering Grand Award from the American Academy of Environmental Engineering, the 1998 National Engineering Excellence Honor Award from the American Consulting Engineers Council, the 1998 Vice President’s Award from DaimlerChrysler Corporation for a project that utilized steam extraction as the remedy and the CECo of MN 1997 Grand Award for Engineering Excellence for a Brownfield redevelopment project, where a bank was built on top of a former solvent drum disposal area.
