Dan Buzea, an LBG Vice President and head of the firm's White Plains, NY office, was recently named a charter member of the US EcoLinks Alliance, an international urban solutions group formed under the auspices of the Environmental Export Council (EEC).
The EEC works closely with the U.S. Agency for International Development's EcoLinks program to promote market-based solutions to urban and environmental challenges in Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia. EcoLinks is the Eurasian American Partnership for Environmentally Sustainable Economies. Its work focuses on linking U.S. environmental technology and service providing companies with groups in the region with a need for technical expertise.
The U.S. EcoLinks Alliance will advise EEC and EcoLinks partners as they continue to build on current work. It will serve as a tool that partners can use to generate ideas on how efforts in the region can provide maximum benefits to the groups they serve.
Buzea has been active in environmental studies and remediation initiatives in Romania, working through grants provided by the EEC.
